FAQ – FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is automotive wrapping (car wrapping)?

Car wrapping is a technique that involves covering all or part of a vehicle’s body with a PVC adhesive film.
It allows you to change the color, protect the original paint, and customize your vehicle without permanent painting.
The films used are specially designed to conform to the vehicle’s shape and can be removed without damaging the bodywork.

What is the difference between car wrapping and PPF (Paint Protection Film)?

Car wrapping is primarily aesthetic: it allows you to change the style and color of the vehicle.
PPF, on the other hand, is a thicker (180 microns vs. 90 for wrapping) transparent or colored film that protects the paint from impacts, scratches, and debris.
These two techniques can be combined to achieve a result that is both visually striking (with different finishes and colors) and protective.

How long does a car wrap last?

The lifespan of a car wrap depends on several factors: the quality of the film, exposure conditions, and vehicle maintenance.
On average, a high-end wrap installed in our workshop can last between 5 and 7 years, while remaining removable without leaving any marks.

And what is the lifespan of a PPF film?

Next-generation PPF protection films have a lifespan of up to 10 years.
They are resistant to UV rays, repeated washing, and heat, and some models are self-healing, removing micro-scratches when exposed to heat.

Can I wash my vehicle after installation?

Yes, but it is recommended to wait at least 5 to 7 days after installation to allow the film to properly adhere.
Afterwards, you can wash the vehicle normally, preferably by hand, using a mild shampoo and a microfiber mitt.
High-pressure washing is possible if done from a safe distance (minimum 50 cm).

What happens if I want to remove the film?

The film can be removed without damaging the original paint, provided it was installed and removed by a professional.
It’s an excellent way to protect the vehicle’s resale value while enjoying temporary customization.
