2009 – The Discovery of a Universe
It all started in 2009.
One day, Jean, my stepfather, introduced me to a website that would literally change my life: DARTZ, on the French Riviera, the first car wrapping company in France.
At that time, the company was covering the world’s rarest and most luxurious cars with matte black film — an aesthetic revolution that redefined automotive luxury.
Training – At the Origins of the Know-How
Fascinated by this innovation, we decided to spend a week training with Igor, the founder of the renowned Élite Wrap workshop, now EW Custom.
There, I discovered a unique universe: car wrapping, a craft where technical precision meets passion, where every gesture matters, and where material becomes emotion.
The Launch – Luxury Total Covering
Back in Caveirac, we launched Luxury Total Covering together.
Very quickly, our paths diverged in complementary directions:
Jean focused on nautical projects with Y-Luxe, specializing in yacht and boat wrapping, while I chose to dedicate myself fully to cars, motorcycles, bicycles, and even aviation.
A New Beginning – The Creation of Design Covering
Over time, Jean left the venture to pursue his own path in the nautical sector, while I decided to give our project a new direction.
Thus, in Calvisson, in the heart of the Vaunage, Design Covering was born: an independent workshop, created from the desire to combine creativity, excellence, and a passion for detail.
In 2017, Yannick joined the adventure. He never left. Today, as the workshop manager, he shares the same rigor and pride as I do: enhancing every vehicle that passes through our hands.
